...and It All Started With a Sock!

Namastè!

I hope you're experiencing copious amounts thereof this afternoon. I'm rather tired but excited at the same time.

Our country has seen a wave of natural disasters in the past few weeks, and Family Namastè's been scrambling to help wherever we could. (We actually live in the path of Irma, which I'll talk about in another post, another day.)

First things first--this post is sponsored. The product I'm talking about was provided for me in exchange for an honest review, but the views and experience I speak of are mine and mine alone.

Have you ever gotten purchase guilt?

You know, where Mommy goes online and orders herself a nice gadget or trinket, then immediately feels a twinge--or wave--of guilt because she's so used to shopping for the kids that buying herself something feels almost dirty?

Yeah, I'm there.

It's sock season. That time of year when we begin tucking the sandals and flip-flops away for their winter slumber. The time of year when we kiss uncovered feet goodbye.

I have never done a subscription for socks. I just bite the bullet and buy them in exorbitant amounts so the dryer monster can get his fill and I remain with a few mismatched survivors for my eternally-cold feet. I didn't even know sock subscriptions were a thing, Did you know they are a thing? They are totally a thing. A beautiful, wonderful, cozy, charitable thing!
Which brings us to my new favorite, The Sock Panda. Who are they? Why do I suddenly love them so much??? Read on, dear Tribe. And check out what I'm so excited about:

The Sock Panda is a subscription service for socks. (Surprise!) They provide a customizable subscription and/or gift experience where each month, you receive or send a pair  (or several--it's up to you!) of their socks each month. At each renewal or purchase, they send a pair of socks to those in need.

Think about that.

A company, without any requests or prodding, sends a pair of socks to someone in need with every purchase. If you get two pairs each month, you also help give two pairs!

Listen, I adore doing for others. I especially adore doing for those who cannot do for themselves. If a company is willing to help me, help my fellow humans, I am all aboard to be their most loyal customer! It feels good to help others. It truly does. But sometimes when we're trying to catch up or simply coasting along with just enough, that's not exactly easy. The Sock Panda, in addition to providing  me a service for a chore I generally don't like (I don't like shopping for socks. It's a boring chore and I'd rather eat Chick-fil-A while writing or watching Designing Women.), helps me do good. Compulsory good! Good that I can help effect without leaving my bed! (Which, unfortunately, is the only good I can do these days.)
The Sock Panda isn't boring, plain socks either. These are stylish, cozy, conversation-starting socks. My current favorite is the toucan.

The socks feel wonderful. They're cozy--not too loose or slouchy, and also not too constricting. They don't slide down in my boots. Because I generally take my shoes off whenever I get a chance, these socks are on display. Which gives me an opportunity to discuss something that is pure good, and also something I'm passionate about--helping others!

Get into the cuteness. I dare you.

Ordering is a breeze. You head to their website, obviously. It's a 3-step process.

1. Let them know who the socks are for--you, your family, your friends?

2. Pick a style and how many pairs you'd like each month.

3. Payment and shipping information.

Your socks arrive in five business days. Plus it's a risk-free purchase--you can cancel at anytime, with no hassle.

Curious to see more?

Check them out:

It's a total win. So...yes, I absolutely recommend you all try out The Sock Panda! They have men's, women's, boys', and girls' styles. Subtle or wild, for a grownup OR a child. I'm smitten with the toucans, and I'm already placing an order for Kids Namastè: robos and pandas.

Namastè!
