Hey now!
As COVID-19 rocks the US to its core, schools are shutting down indefinitely and parents are navigating schooling at home.
Yes, schooling at home.
You are not homeschooling at this point because you are sending the kids back as soon as possible. In the interim, you are supervising them as they complete lessons and work packets sourced from their school. You have not had to create a curriculum or purchase materials--you are schooling at home.
Schooling at home is actually loads easier than social media is making it seem.
Homeschool on the other hand--well, that's a different game entirely.
Homeschool did NOT start with COVID-19, first of all.
Homeschool is when a parent chooses to teach their children at home. Reasons vary from they wanted to, mind your business.
It's annoying to me because usually people have a lot of static to spew regarding homeschool. They insist we take the easy way out and insist our kids won't be able to compete.
So yeah...it was important to point out the difference between homeschooling and schooling at home. And no Karen... I do not wanna hear how tired you are and how hard teaching is.
You don't get it.
Which is cool. But don't fake the fray.
